Sara Svoboda Skills Academy

Want to continue to develop your Rugby Skills and Sense? In an all-girls environment? With a National Team Player leading the way? The Harlequins are proud to introduce for 2019 the Sara Svoboda Skills Academy - a series of five (5) Sunday sessions to develop rugby in our female athletes.

Sara is not only a member of the Brantford Harlequins Sr Women's team, but also a member of Rugby Ontario and Rugby Canada's National Team Program. Sara is a versatile player - able to play in any of the back row spots or even in the Centers - as she did on Canada's England Tour!!!

The Skills sessions will be held at George Jones Fields (22 Powerline Road, Brantford, Ontario) and are open to ALL FEMALE ATHLETES from Age 12 - 19, regardless of whether they play for the Harlequins or another rugby club.

The Sessions will be held from 10am - 1pm on the following Sundays - June 16 & 23 and July 14, 21 & 28. This is FIFTEEN (15) hours of skills development, fun and a chance to meet new players and make new friends. Friends through Rugby = Friends through Life!

This is a unique opportunity to learn DIRECTLY from a National Team Player - to learn not only about the skills, but the work effort and culture it takes to put that Maple Leaf on your jersey.

You can register online at or by emailing

The cost is $120 / athlete - which works out to $8 / HOUR for learning in a high performance environment.
