David Goodrow Memorial Scholarship

In memory of David Goodrow—an alumnus who spearheaded the original Alumni Scholarship to support university-bound Harlequins—the Brantford Harlequins Rugby Football Club proudly presents the David Goodrow Memorial Scholarship.

This annual scholarship will award two recipients (one male and one female) entering their first year of post-secondary education. It is intended to recognize and reward Brantford Harlequins athletes who demonstrate excellence in rugby, academics, and community involvement.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must hold an active Brantford Harlequins RFC membership in the current year.

  • Must be enrolled full-time in first-year post-secondary studies (college or university) in Fall 2025.

  • Must submit a letter of application that includes:

    • Full name and contact information

    • Name of post-secondary institution

    • Program of enrollment

    • Summary of personal achievements in academics and athletics

    • Description of involvement in rugby, community, and society

Application Guidelines:

  • Letters of application should be a maximum of two pages.

  • Email applications to quins.social@gmail.com by July 26, 2025.

  • A minimum of three (3) applications must be received for the scholarship(s) to be awarded.

This scholarship celebrates the legacy of David Goodrow and the values he championed—commitment, leadership, and service to others. We encourage all eligible members to apply.

Harlequins Capital Endowment Fund

Contribute to the Harlequins Capital Endowment Fund: This has been setup in partnership with the Canadian Rugby Foundation (hosts of the Canadian Club Championship) to setup a charitable fund to help strength our club and our facilitiies. As you know – there is always improvements and work to be done out at George Jones Fields. This fund is also designed to support and enrich our club’s strategic long-term goals to continue to teach, develop and excel in Rugby throughout Brantford and Brant County (and beyond).
