The program introduces young players to safe, age‑appropriate contact rugby in a controlled and supportive environment. Athletes learn proper tackling technique, how to engage in contact with confidence, and how to stay safe through good body positioning and teamwork. Sessions blend skill development with small‑sided games that gradually incorporate contact elements such as tackling, rucking, and controlled contests for the ball. Coaches emphasize safety, respect, and sportsmanship while helping players build strength, coordination, and a deeper understanding of the game. The goal is to ensure a positive, fun transition from flag rugby to the contact version of the sport.

(2012 + 2013) – Contact Rugby (Boys)

The program builds on the foundations of safe contact and introduces players to a more complete form of the game. Athletes develop stronger technical skills in tackling, rucking, mauling, scrummaging, and backline play, always with an emphasis on proper technique and player safety. As gameplay becomes more structured, players learn strategy, positional understanding, and how to work together effectively as a team. Coaches focus on skill development, fitness, respect, and sportsmanship, helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.
